专题简介 (Session Description):

Radio bursts are one of the most important activity phenomena in solar and space plasmas, including solar radio bursts from the solar atmosphere, auroral radiations from the terrestrial and other planetary magnetospheres, and interplanetary radio bursts from the interplanetary space. These radio bursts are believed to be produced by fast electron beams propagating along magnetic fields and display complex and various types in their dynamic spectra because of their sensitive dependence on local magnetic fields as well as on local plasma parameters. They are not only direct disturbance factors on the space weather but also important diagnostic tools for the local magnetic and plasma environments. It is of both scientific and practical interest to approach comprehensive understanding of their emission mechanisms and to improve their observational technology.

In this session, we will focus on radio bursts and associated phenomena in solar and space plasmas, including theoretical models and observations of various radio bursts and their associations with the space weather. We solicit contributions from recent advances in observational analysis and theoretical models of various types of these radio bursts. This session will provide a forum to discuss freely latest developments and to improve our knowledge of radio bursts in solar and space plasmas and their roles in Sun-Earth system connection, geo-space environment, and space weather.
